We’ve recently updated the fabric section of the Chelsea Textiles website with an interactive swatch library, building on their offline shopping experience.

Chelsea Textiles create high-quality antique-inspired furniture, fabric and cushions. We’ve worked with them since 2002 when we launched their first website. Since then we’ve developed their digital brand with an online shopping facility and order management system, whilst maintaining the brand’s traditional and luxury values. To find out more see our Chelsea Textiles case study.

We’ve recently updated the fabric section of the site to create an interactive and tactile UI which builds on the offline shopping experience. Using CSS3 animation transitions, we developed a browseable bookcase based on the fabric swatch books that they use in-store.

A contents page gives the user an overview of the section and large imagery shows the quality and detail of the hand-crafted fabrics, with bookmarks showing different colour ways and options.
